Viventia is a privately-held biopharmaceutical company developing and advancing the next generation of human monoclonal antibodies (MAbs) for use in oncology. Our approach combines the specificity of an antibody with the potency of a cytotoxic protein to provide safer and more efficacious treatments for cancer patients.
Viventia’s lead MAb products, Vicinium™ and Proxinium™ are used for the treatment of non-muscle invasive bladder cancer and squamous cell cancer of the head & neck. Both have successfully completed a Phase II study. Other clinical products include VB6-845, a therapeutic designed for the systemic treatment of various EpCAM-positive solid tumors. VB6-845 has undergone exploratory Phase I clinical trial and is continuing development.
Viventia has developed a potent, de-immunized protein, payload technology, De-Bouganin that when coupled to an antibody increases its ability to kill cancer cells thereby enhancing its therapeutic potential and providing prolonged clinical benefit.
Viventia has built a product pipeline using its innovative MAb discovery platform, IDAP (Immune Driven Antibody Platform), a collection of technologies designed to create a portfolio of new antibody products and identify novel oncology drug targets.
Viventia is headquartered in Mississauga, Ontario, Canada and its research and cGMP antibody production facility is located in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. |
